- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up in the travel industry, as my parents have owned their travel agencies since 1997. It was only natural for me to follow suit, having been to the Caribbean islands 29 times, having sailed on 7 cruises and tying the knot on the island of Bermuda. I already had a wealth of knowledge to share before my studies with The Travel Institute. At this point, I live and breathe travel and know the pros and cons of every resort in the Caribbean and Mexico.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you are hiring a full time travel agent that has a lot of expertise and not an agent that barely travels themselves, or is part time.
