FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a tuition program, where there is a monthly price for each time slot. This tuition provides a small discount that includes 10 weeks of off time throughout the year (Christmas, New Years, etc), many of these week optional to take off. If the student still takes those optional weeks, they are considered free lessons. The tuition also includes any recitals costs and allows me to answer questions and student's calls throughout the week.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson with a new student is always free, because I find it easier to t get to know the student without the obligation. I find that it works best if you can find a teacher that you can get along with, as this makes lessons more fun, and the student and teacher tend to look forward to them more often.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing piano for 20 years, violin for 16, and played in different orchestras on viola and cello. I just graduated with a degree in Music, and was the Music theory tutor at my college for several years. I have also played in many symphonies including Powder River Symphony, Salina Symphony, Kansas State University Orchestra, and Friends University Community Orchestra where I had the principal second position from 2015-2016.
