CFC license, H2 and H3 (residential, commercial HVAC license), Refrigeration license, and gas tight certification.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In 1989 I went to visit a friend from high school and his mother offered me a job. I worked for their commercial HVAC company as a helper and realized the potential of a good career move. Then I purchased the HVAC trade school books used at the local trade college and read 2 hours each night to learn this craft. I also attended multiple trade seminars throughout the first 10 years of working on HVAC equipment. Since that time, I've built an automated ice plant, been certified on ultra low refrigeration equipment, operated a $1.2 million HVAC company, and provided business consulting for several small businesses.
