That’s a really good question, and one that is totally valid, because when all is said and done, hiring a planner is not absolutely necessary. I am sure that you could successfully plan your wedding/event yourself. However, not everyone has the time, nor wants to deal with the stress it can entail. People who plan events for a living have their methods down to a science that doesn't rival anyone else. As your planner, it would be my job to save you stress, effort, and time by doing for you what I do best. I can quickly use my list of vendors to book your event, keep your budget in line, help you create your venue floor-plan and timeline, and even brainstorm with you. Without a planner, the venue, the vendors, and even the wedding/event party will still be looking for someone to lead the way, and if not me, it will likely be the host of the event. However, a host has many other duties to fulfill that don’t include those the planner generally takes on, tasks that often happen during the event. How well will the host be able to enjoy the event if they are too busy orchestrating it from behind the scenes?
