After searching for a massage therapist who does something similar to Isometric Body Balancing (that helped me tremendously after I broke my leg 7 yrs ago), I finally came across Healcyon. I have now had 2 sessions, which have already benefited me greatly. Arthur is a true professional. The sessions are never rushed and are done in a very relaxing environment, which truly adds to the experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is suffering with imbalances in the body, pain, or who just wants a great massage to relieve stress and tension.Oct 9, 2018Verified
Arthur braved Hurricane Florence and provided two exceptional 90 minute massages in our home. He was a terrific therapist and a kind gentleman. We look forward to many future returns.Sep 17, 2018Verified

Arthur, the owner of Healcyon, is a highly-educated individual (BA in Philosophy from NC State, graduating Magna Cum Laude; a NC-licensed Massage Therapist for over 7 years) with a great work ethic and a good sense of applying non-traditional methods of healing. He worked on my bum shoulder over several weeks and now I have free range of movement again. I Highly recommend this young man.Apr 9, 2018
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Package deals are available, for those willing to commit to a session every week. This tranformation package (4 -90 minute session over a 6 week period) is $200, or an almost 50% discount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I begin with a thorough intake process that lets us uncover the deeper issues going on. Not only the root of the pain in the body, but where you may be getting stuck in life as well. Tension patterns in the body often have a somatic link to a way we approach life or resist it. Integrating the Mind and the Body helps release these patterns for good.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I had a thorough certification program, 900 hours, in Clinical Neuromuscular massage therapy. Since then I have gotten over 100 hours of training in Freedom Bodywork, and am completing my 500 Hour Certification program in Clinical Qi Gong for Pain Release. This is all combined with over half a decade of experience applying these techniques on clients.
