Introduction: Hello! I am a music performer and educator with 7+ years of experience teaching violin, viola, fiddle, beginning piano, and early music development. I believe in creating a fun and supportive environment where students can explore the music that is meaningful to them. I teach students in a variety of locations via zoom lessons.
As a performer, I received a degree in classical string performance and composition, and toured with country, americana, Irish, and rock bands across the country. I was also an active part of the NYC wedding industry, performing in a variety of classical ensembles.
My diverse musical background helps me explore all kinds of different music with my students. I've taught classical music in and outside of the Suzuki method, fiddle, pop, Broadway, and movie music to my students; much of my teaching method is based on the music that interests you!

Brian taught my daughter violin for about two years. He’s a wonderful teacher and person. He has so many great qualities: patient, creative, gentle, enthusiastic, kind, knowledgeable and funny. He shows interest in the student as a whole and always sees the ability. This was important to me as a parent of a special needs child. No musical piece was off limits or unachieveable. He is always encouraging and fun. The duets he plays with my daughter are fun and magical. He brings the music alive! My daughter always looks forward to her lessons with Brian. We are so fortunate to know him, and highly recommend him.

Brian Vegh has been my 6 yro daughter’s violin teacher for 1.5 years. He is an excellent teacher who understands how to work with children. He makes lessons challenging yet fun and respects the personality/interests of the child. He is very positive and encouraging with my daughter yet will also redirect her if she is off track. I highly recommend Brian Vegh as a violin teacher.
