- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on type of event, and distance for travel. It is sometimes a flat rate, or it can start with a flat rate and then we'll add for hours at the event, if the client wants to extend their original request. I will include all photos on a zip/key drive for no charge and I will work at post production on some of the best. If client has specific requests or wants printing, framing, or an album produced, that would be an added, reasonable fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we chat over the phone so the client can determine if my services are on par with what they are looking for. The client answers certain questions regarding date of event, whether or not the date is flexible, location of event (if there is a predetermined location), amount of people likely attending, and whether the client wants a basic photo shoot, or if photographer is requested for entire event. I will then send out a contract, and one third of payment is required at that time. 1 month prior to event another third is required, and the last third is required to receive event photos.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took as many photography and art related classes as I could throughout high school, college and post college. I've dabbled in it on all my travels and have been hired for family photo shoots, head shots and wedding event, and baby showers.
