Introduction: Hi! My name is Mandy and I've been teaching for seven years. This year I have left the classroom to work as an interventionist at my school. I was asked to do this because of my expertise on below grade level students. I have experience in kindergarten-3rd grade and my passion is reading. I absolutely love teaching children to read! I love figuring out what a child is struggling with and helping them fill those holes. The growth I see in my students is one of the greatest feelings.

Our experience is with Mrs. Christman. She is an amazing person and is compassionate and really bonds with the children. My daughter just adores her. She has helped my daughter go from being well behind her grade level in reading to fastly approaching where she needs to be. She has given my daughter confidence in not just reading but in all areas and has taught her that she is intelligent and capable of meeting the goals set out before her. I would recommend Mrs. Christman to any student that needs a confidence boost with their school work as well as foundational skills to succeed.

I charge $40 an hour for tutoring.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will do a few diagnostic tests to see what the child needs help with most. Then I'll create my lessons from the child's specific needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from USC. I taught for 7 years. This year I'm working as an interventionist. It's might job to help below grade level students make growth.
