Tomas and Carlos (Lonestar Construction) are a fantastic team, and did exactly what they promised, quickly and professionally. This is our first experience with a complete Thumbtack job, and we couldn't be happier. The process was great. These motivated and energetic young guys responded quickly, spent plenty of time discussing our needs, gave a very fair and thorough estimate, and have been terrific communicators throughout the job. They also did all of the work themselves, and really seem to know what they're doing. They arrived on time and did a fairly extensive repair on our aging deck (replacing many boards, painting, etc., shoring up stairs, etc), and completed the job in two long days. They also went across town to get a better grade of treated lumber, so it would last. Our deck looks great!! What a difference. (My husband was a carpenter in college, and is thrilled with their work-- he knows quality.) Carlos and Tomas left the work site very clean and hauled away every bit of construction trash. We will definitely call them again for additional jobs.Thank you Thumbtack for connecting us!

I had what I thought was a fairly small job that needed to be done quickly. I filled out a "project" request on two websites. From there, three people contacted me directly but only one (Lonestar Construction) was willing to meet me at the property, same day to get a better picture of the project before providing an estimate. Everyone else just wanted to give me an estimate over the phone and all turned out to be grossly overpriced. Tomas and Carlos called, met and finished the project all in the same day. Im pretty satisfied with the results.
