Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Hello, My name is Debbie Miller and I am an Accredited Staging Professional, Masters Certification, I also have my degree in interior design. Along with staging houses I offer interior design consultations, paint color advice, home organizing and de-cluttering. I have been staging homes and assisting clients with their interior design needs since 2004. As far as staging, we have an 11,000 sq ft warehouse full of furniture, accessories and lots of art. Most of our stages homes sell within the first 14 days. Interior design consultations, listening to your customers needs and desires is one of my favorite things to do. Finding the right color and or furniture and watching your clients eyes light up with excitement is such a thrill. Styles change, colors change, creating a beautiful palette is "key" in interior design. Much of decorating is good organization. Much of interior decorating is visualizing. Yes, cameras and laptops help, but most times you will still be required to visualize an item’s size, color and scale in a space long before it arrives there. Seeing the end result is so exciting. Organizing, space planning and de-cluttering, something I am very good at. It is hard for people to get rid of items that are treasures to them. It could be paperwork, collectibles or memories from your childhood or your parents items. Going thru each area and deciding what to do with it is hard, let me help you. I look forward to hearing from you, thank you, Debbie Miller. Everything I do is to help someone move forward in their life. I discovered that I truly loved and had a passion for taking raw space and creating a beautiful room. For me it was like giving birth. I loved how all the architectural details, finishes, and fixtures within a room could give the room a true character and feeling. To this day, it is one of my guiding principles: to make a room beautiful, even before you put the first piece of furniture in it. Another factor for my decision to become an interior designer was my love of doing things for other people and making other people happy. Every interior designer knows that rush and thrill when a client finally sees their finished room for the first time. That sheer pleasure on their face and the knowledge that you did something great for them that will influence them and make them happy for years to come, is an incredible feeling. When a client comes to you for the first time, it is just like a person coming to a psychologist with a problem. It’s up to the designer to know the questions to ask and path to take, in order for the client to find out for themselves, what they truly want from their home, and the way they intend to live in it. It’s actually funny. As a kid in high school, I would have never thought about a career in interior design. But now as I reflect back on the last 20 years and even look back into my childhood, I cannot imagine wanting to do anything else.

Debbie is a consonant professional. She is delightful and fun. Her style and ideas to stage a home are so beautiful and on trend. She really compliments the era of each home she stages to bring out and highlight the attributes while keeping the staging style fresh and up to date. I have and will continue to refer her to my selling clients.

When it came to staging our home, Debbie was super responsive and came up with creative ways to use some of our own furniture and accessories in conjunction with the staging pieces. The result was a fabulous high-end look that helped us sell our home for well over asking price. Our 25 year old home was competing with much newer, more modern homes in the area. Staging made all the difference in helping us sell fast (within 1 week of listing) at a great price. It was well worth the cost. I highly recommend Debbie and her company.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Get rid of clutter: You can, and should, live more efficiently. More is not necessarily better. Most people have too much stuff. Just getting rid of items or furniture can transform a room. “Most people don’t have to move in an instant. Find storage solutions now. Plan ahead and start boxing things up. You’ll be ready to move or you’ll realize you don’t need these things anyway and just get rid of them,” she said. Consider repositioning furniture and accent pieces or even using them in different ways: You’ve looked at your dining room a certain way for 10 years, but placing a chair here and moving a painting there may give you a whole new updated look. There’s no need to buy more. Use what you have. Keep it clean: You’ll enjoy your space more. Update when you can: You’ll be able to enjoy the house, but when you plan to sell the changes you make will catch buyers’ eyes. Stagers can help homeowners target areas in the home that need the most improvement such as painting or updating bathrooms while staying within your budget.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been a member of ASP since 2004, Accredited Staging Professional, with Stagehomes.com. I also have my AA in Interior Design. Both of those credentials go "hand in hand".
