Introduction: I am certified to teach mathematics for fifth-ninth grades in Missouri. My degree is in both math and economics, and when I took the math certification exam, I passed with distinction. I previously worked in finance, so I have some real world experience working with math. I have several years experience teaching math to kids of all ages.
As a Missouri teacher, I have passed regular background checks, and I have passed the Family Care Safety Registry check.
I love working with students and getting them to that a-ha! moment. I also love to see the growth of a child over a long period of time.

I'm not, and never have been, good at math, and having a sympathetic tutor is really important to me. Mark was patient and noticed when I didn't understand but didn't want to say anything. He was ready to explain things in several different ways until it clicked for me, and he never made me feel stupid! He clearly has an excellent grasp of the material (for me it was GRE math), and explained things conceptually, instead of just showing me steps or "tricks". I got the GRE math score I needed!
