FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lesson fees are charged monthly and are based on the number of lessons you have that month and the length of each lesson. I offer a generous makeup policy and do not charge for cancellations due to illness. There is an annual student fee that covers the cost of all books, sheet music, recital venue costs, and studio-licensed apps or music.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin by meeting briefly in person to see if we are a good fit for each other. I like to get to know the student a little bit and make sure that the student is comfortable working with me. We discuss goals and interests. Then at our next meeting, we begin the first lesson.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Music and a Diploma in Piano Performance from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. I am also a member of the Music Teacher's National Association as well as the Minnesota Music Teacher's Association.
