The Red Spoon Gourmet caters elegant corporate events and provides weekly chef prepared meal delivery with all donations distributed to The Shelf Foundation, Inc. a 501(c)3 organization. Service to our customers and the San Antonio community is the utmost priority. The Red Spoon Gourmet has catered a number events from political fundraisers to corporate functions at a wide array of venues while delivering consistent quality gourmet southern food with excellent presentation within budget. Nominated by "Southern Living Magazine" as one of the best "Southern Food Entrepreneurs of 2016" we strive to exceed our clients expectations while supporting literacy. We Cook for a Cause! Food is love in our family and we were raised by our ancestors to form a bond with nature through our vegetable gardens and others through food. In partnership with TrucknTomato and local food businesses we provide organically grown fruits and vegetables and the highest quality meats. The Red Spoon Gourmet is strictly farm to table and we pride ourselves in supporting Texas farmers to deliver fresh, delicious southern comfort food along with healthy vegetarian/diabetic options. In addition, we reduce food waste in the local community and help stimulate the Texas economy.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Since we are non-profit catering service, we aim to be competitive with the market while providing exceptional service. Our customers love our mission of "Cooking for a Cause"! All purchases are tax deductible because we are sponsored by The Shelf Foundation, Inc. a 501(c)3 non profit educational foundation.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Our typical process is to meet with the client to really assess their needs to see how we may be assistance. In addition, we have a short profile that we complete to make sure there is a complete understanding of the customer's requirements.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Although we just formed The Red Spoon Gourmet as a non profit catering company in 2016, I have been cooking/catering professionally for over 30 years. My professional references include the assisting with the compilation and publishing of 3 cookbooks, and have cooked professionally on television as half of The Kitchen Divas largely during the 90's. I also served as a food stylist for many years. Most recently, completed the Breakfast and Launch Program from Cafe Commerce, Sur La Table, and I am a Certified Food Safety Manager. I have provided catering services for parties from 20-200 in the past year at a host of locations.
