FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A mold inspection's cost ultimately depends on how many rooms or how large an area being tested is. Any quote I provide will also cover the cost of lab analysis and there will be no added costs at any point as long as I am provided with accurate information when I am quoting an inspection.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I let the client explain why they are calling and tell me about the property that needs to be inspected. Then we describe how we would conduct an inspection for the particular situation and provide a quote for the total cost. If the client is happy to move forward we schedule an appointment, conduct the inspection and report the results within 2-3 business days in a way the client can understand. If remediation IS necessary then we provide a plan for them so that a remediation company won't do any more work than necessary. We will then schedule a clearance test following remediation to confirm there is no mold present anymore. In addition, we are always available for questions after an inspection is conducted.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors of science in molecular biology/chemistry. A bachelor of science in criminal justice. A masters degree in forensic science. And I am a certified mold inspector, certified by the mold inspection consultation and remediation organization.
