FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If I could afford to help for free, I would. The success of my students is my real reward. But if I don't charge a fee, nobody would respect me. So, $25 per hour is my base, but could be less, depending on the customer's ability to pay.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to casually chat them up, and ask questions that reveals their strengths and weaknesses. I ask them to show me their most recent assignments and current problems that they are working on. I ask them which problems they are having difficulty with, all to give me an idea on what areas may need to be re-visited. One of my best skills, is evaluating a student and setting up a winning game plan. I have been able to fix, get a student back on track, with just one session. I'm that good.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
When I attended Alverno College, where I worked on my Master's degree, I was highly sought after to instruct future teachers on how to teach math. I became known as a master teacher. My technique for teaching students how to factor and solve Quadratic Equations was my most requested lesson plan.
