FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each client has different desires of what they personally want to improve or learn. The first step in working with you would be understanding if you are a beginner wanting to learn basic swimming techniques to gain confidence when in the water, or if you are an advanced swimmer who needs technique improvement and coaching. Some clients want to put their focus on one aspect of swimming at a time (ie. treading water), where others want to explore all aspects. Once viewing the swimming ability of my new client, we together create a plan, a goal, and a timeline. Learning something new and sometimes fixing what has been incorrectly done and instilled in us can prove to be a challenge, but with my help we can get you to your goal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been involved in swimming for 20 years, and have my swimming/swim instructor experience posted on my profile.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide range of clients, from ages 2-70. I started teaching group lessons where I would teach a maximum of 6 students at a time. I prefer teaching private lessons as this gives me an opportunity to zone in on each clients specific needs, which I have experience doing so for the past 6 years. Within the private lessons I have taught; I've helped toddlers gain confidence and comfort in the water, have taught adults with no swimming experience basic freestyle and backstroke, as well as coached swimmers during their off-season.
