Introduction: My photography focuses on people, specifically photos that showcase the beauty of the human form and its relationship to its immediate surroundings. I also like to capture candids, a still shot of a natural moment in time that often tells a story. My photos are a mix between what I can control and what happens naturally. My favorite part of the photography process is the shoot. Many of my clients have no experience in posing in front of the camera, so I'm able to make my subjects feel comfortable in order to direct them in a way that captures their personality on camera. My direction is essentially a conversation between the subject and the camera.

I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with Paul in December (I needed a series of headshots). Paul was fantastic! Prior to the shoot, Paul was responsive to communication and asked great questions to determine the goals I had for the session. When we met at Alamo Square to do the photography (he is great at outdoor photography!), he naturally knew how to direct me to get different angles and make my poses look natural. We also had a lot of fun ?. After the shoot was over, Paul got me proofs right away (within a few days) and I was able to select the ones I wanted for professional printing at a photo shop here in the city that he is connected with. Overall, Paul was terrific and the photos came out great! I highly recommend him and will use him again in the future when the need arises. Thanks, Paul!

I love working with Paul as a photographer. He made me feel comfortable and confident. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Prior to discussing pricing packages, I do a consultation with my clients (over phone or in-person) in order to understand my client's needs, personality, and story. I use the information from the consultation to design a photo shoot concept that goes beyond the base line needs. In designing a photo shoot, I use my creativity to offer options to the client so that they receive photos that truly showcase their story. After the consultation, I present my final photography rates and send my clients a contract explaining the terms of agreement.
