A bit of background, I am conversationally fluent in Cantonese, but had always wanted to learn Mandarin and become Chinese-literate. Corinne was the second tutor to respond to me, but the first who could meet with me.
My initial apprehension at learning Mandarin from a white girl quickly evaporated upon our first conversation. Corinne is one of the sharpest, emphatic, and amiable people I've had the pleasure of meeting...I highly recommend her to anyone who's looking to learn Mandarin and about Chinese culture.

Communication about scheduling times was not good. Either did not confirm availability or did not keep confirmed times.

Apologies for missing our scheduled lessons. I believe the first lesson we scheduled you missed. The second scheduled lesson I missed because of a family emergency. I was in the hospital; apologies for missing our second lesson, but because of unforeseen circumstances I missed our lesson. I am normally punctual and accountable.
