FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am based in the S.F. Financial District and will travel to addresses downtown / South of Market. The fee per signature is mandated by law, usually $15 per signature. For a larger number of signatures (10+) in the downtown/SOMA area I will often waive my travel fee. Otherwise I charge $28 per hour for travel time to and from the client site (rounded to the nearest 15 minutes) but the clock stops when I am actually on the premises doing the notarization.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most of my notary clients are one-time-only and the process is usually straightforward. I always start by asking what kind of document is being executed (trust, power of attorney, etc.) as well as the type of notarial act requested (usually an acknowledgement or jurat).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I obtained my commission from the State of California in June 2014 and it expires in 2018.
