- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My work began out of passion. Diabetes and heart failure runs in my family. I began researching and learning more about how the diet can act as a preventative measure to keep our health in check. When I was a rower training at the national level, diet became an integral part of my training. During that time, I also found out I was anemic. After passing out during several practices, my nutritionist recommended increasing my caloric and veggie intake. Eating right gave me the power I needed to become a champion. After graduate school, I pursued starting an organic farm in the beautiful hill of the Hudson Valley in New York. Here, I learned that our ties to the land form an integral part of the delicate balance between our health and that of the planet. I have since travelled around the world learning about permaculture farming techniques that promote a symbiotic relationship with our ecological systems. My goal is to continue to share and employ these philosophies with others.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
