Darya tutored my son, Dylan in high school w/English. He has ADHD & she worked really well with him (very patient) as he'd been struggling with writing. With her support he was able to get a passing grade & it helped him graduate. She was always upbeat & helpful.

Darya is great! She helped me prep for the verbal section on the GMAT. She was really patient and taught me very useful tips. She created a in depth study plan that addressed my weakness and kept me motivated. I would totally recommend her.

Darya tutored and advised me throughout my senior year of high school and my first year at college. Having Darya by my side throughout the stress of a year and a half journey has had a significant impact in my life. Although Darya's main responsibility was to tutor me for my Advanced Placement (AP) Literature class, she went above and beyond to what I expected of an English tutor. She helped me find my inner voice as a writer through tutoring me about grammar, organization, and vocabulary. She also helped boost my confidence as an underprivileged Latina studying in the STEM field as a computer science major at the University of California: Santa Cruz. I passed both my AP Government and AP Literature classes and tests which is significant because both required a heavy amount of analytical writing; I graduated high school with honors and with the highest cumulative grade point average (GPA), 3.7, at any time of my academic career. One week before I was going to take my SAT for the third time, I mentioned to Darya that I was struggling understanding a large portion of the Math section of the test. To my surprise, she was thoroughly capable skilled in tutoring me in math, along with English. In less than seven days, Darya was able to successfully prepare me for my last SAT test; subsequently, my SAT score improved by more than 100 points. If we had more time to go through the preparation book, I could have further surpassed this amazing progress. Another aspect in which Darya supported me in my college application and preparation process was in guiding me to refine my college essays for both private and public universities: as a result, I was accepted to more than half of the colleges that I applied to. Finally, I am most grateful for Darya and her efforts towards my success because of the high number of scholarships that I received in the second semester of my senior year in high school. Through Darya’s excellent editing and writing abilities, I was able to accumulate more than $200,000 in scholarship rewards from four different organizations. I could never have imagined this much triumph before meeting Darya; without these scholarship awards, I would have been forced to work during my breaks and during school to afford a college education. Now, all that I have to worry about is learning as much as I can while I am at UCSC. On account of my strong achievements in less than a year with Darya, I still utilize the many tips and lessons that she has instilled in me. As a result of this, I excelled in my classes at UCSC with a cumulative GPA of 3.6. Because of my outstanding academic success in the first quarter of college, I was exclusively invited by the university to apply to the College Scholars Program; this two-year program selects 20 students out of about 200 students applying from each college at UCSC to help give them meaningful academic challenges. Not only do I recognize Darya as one of the most significant people in my life because of my solid academic accomplishments, but also due to the genuine passion she holds to be sure that her tutees succeed. As her tutee, she constantly reminded me of my own abilities to encourage my confidence. We are still in contact today which further demonstrates her enthusiasm for her tutees. She is evidently benevolent, motivated, and intelligent, and I highly recommend her tutoring and guidance talents to any student who is fortunate enough to be her tutee.
