Introduction: I have a BA in Interior Architecture from UC Davis, and two masters from California Collge of the Arts: one in Industrial Design and the other, an MBA in Design Strategy. I specialize in high-end work and custom creation in the shop as well as on site. I design and build custom indoor and outdoor furniture, planters, woodwork, cabinetry, furniture, trim, and molding. I also repair and refinish fine furniture. I have years of experience doing damage repair. I'm available for smaller projects. I enjoy being challenged by design problems that require a creative solution. I specialize in the repurposing of materials, upcycling and restoration. I have spent years working on LEED certified projects while at the same time restoring some of the finest craftsman and Victorian homes.

Dave did an amazing job creating custom cabinet doors for us recently. We needed to replace the door fronts on a rental and needed to get it done quickly. We first looked for ordering our own but quickly realized that was a daunting task with fulfillment times of 3 months. I found Dave on Thumbtack and he came out the very next day. He provided options for helping me order the doors and hardware and then installing them and also options for him to build the doors from scratch. We ultimately decided to have Dave build the cabinets doors for us and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He painted the interior of all the cabinets to match the new paint on the doors as well and the doors look even better than anything we could have ordered and it took 1/3 the time of ordering. I highly recommend using Dave for any woodworking project. He is responsive, professional and does awesome work!

We needed some trim and polish work done in our kitchen after a full DIY remodel and Dave came to the rescue. You get so stressed about the big things that you often forget about the little things that need to be fixed when doing a remodel (e.g. installing trim and baseboards, refinishing the ceiling where the upper cabinets were installed, sanding and caulking edges, etc). Hiring Dave was the best decision. He not only polished everything with amazing craftsman quality so we could move on to the next big install but was also willing to teach you if you happen to want to do things yourself in the future — a homeowner’s dream!
