- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for full-service travel design, which includes flight research, hotel bookings, tour and activity bookings, restaurant reservations and recommendations, concierge services, travel insurance options, and more, is quoted on an individual basis. I generally charge a service fee of $50 per day of travel. For example, the fee for a one week trip is $350. Please inquire for a la carte services such as hotel or villa selection and booking, flight booking, event services, and general consulting. Please note that for all services, while I don't guarantee that I will be able to offer discount prices on travel, it's often the case that I become aware of a promotion available or that I am able to offer a complimentary upgrade or amenities. Depending on the trip these perks alone can sometimes make up for the cost of my services.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our custom travel planning process means that no two itineraries are ever the same. Like every successful relationship, we always begin with a chat to discover what makes you tick. Are you on a mission to experience the latest Michelin starred restaurants or do you prefer the local hole-in-the-wall – or both? Is a luxury villa with stunning views your raison d’être or do you hanker for a boutique hotel in the heart of the action? Do you yearn for a nostalgic journey by scenic railway or prefer the feel of the open road? We’ll get to the bottom of all of this the first time that we work together, then save your preferences for future adventures. Once we get to know you and your travel companions, we’ll start to add in the logistics such as travel dates, destinations, budget and other personal considerations. This is where the fun begins! Within the agreed timeframe, we’ll send you a custom proposal outlining the fantastic trip we’ve created to cater to your wishes. Once you accept our proposal and pay a deposit for your trip, this is where the fun starts! We get to work on the finer details and incorporate any suggested tweaks to the proposed itinerary. Once finalized, we’ll go ahead and make all of your reservations. Before your departure, you’ll receive all the exciting details you need to enjoy a fabulous customized travel experience. We love nothing more than following along on your journey through social media, and you can travel at ease knowing that we’re always accessible for inquiries and assistance along the way. Once you’re back we’ll check in to confirm that everything went smoothly and gather your feedback to ensure that your next trip is nothing short of extraordinary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I first lived abroad for a year in Spain when I was 15 years old, and since then have spent four years living in Hungary, England, Germany and Hong Kong. In between I've traveled to over 60 countries while planning every last detail on my own. I've learned how to apply for visas, what scams to watch out for, when is the best time to book, and so, so many more tips and tricks that can only be learned by doing. On a professional level my company Foray Travel + Event Design is a member of the Virtuoso travel network, the top consortium in the industry. Through Virtuoso I participate in industry trainings and webinars on a weekly basis, as well as go on educational trips to build relationships with other industry professionals. On a daily basis I am in contact with my peers trading tips that allow us to plan trips for you that have been fully vetted.
