FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm offering SIGNIFICANT discounts to Thumbtack clients off my regular non-thumbtack rates. Sometimes up to 20% off. To compare, potential students can see my regular private coaching rates on my website listed on my profile.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each student is unique. I don't have a set, inorganic syllabus, as I absolutely do not believe the student gets the best of what I can offer that way. For singing students, I always start with warmups/scales that also entail dispensing information re: the importance of vowel shadings and diphthongs, etc. I ask the student to bring a song they want to work on, and we work phrase by phrase. I absolutely do not believe in "branding" my students. My philosophy is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". If a student has naturally wonderful technique , and only has a few trouble spots, that's what we focus on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started studying voice privately at the age of 15. I only stopped lessons a few years ago, as I believe in the importance of ongoing training. I have a BFA from USIU, from which I graduated Magna Cum Laude. The entire college was focused on the performing arts.
