I first began working with Meredith to help me prepare for an upcoming road race. I'd been spending so much time running and had been neglecting stretching and it was showing up in how I felt on my runs. Meredith took time to understand my goals, and developed a specific hip opening sequence of postures to help release my tight muscles and get more mobility in my hips. Her teaching style is just the right mix of informative (to ensure my form was on point) and reflective (to remind me to stay in the moment). It’s clear she’s been teaching for a while, as she knows a TON about yoga. After an hour she had me bendy and loose and ready for my race the next day. She also suggested a few postures to do every night in between our sessions to maintain the flexibility in my hips that we’d achieved. I felt awesome the next day and had a great race, and Meredith is now a staple in my weekly training plan.

Having spent a couple of years over-training/competing for triathlons, marathons and crossfit my body was an over-trained mess. My physical therapist (post shoulder reconstruction surgery) recommended that I considered yoga to help with my overall elasticity I reluctantly agreed to give it a shot. Having spent a couple of years over-training for triathlons, long distance running and crossfit competitions my body was a mess. When my physical therapist (post shoulder reconstruction) asked if I had ever considered yoga, I to her that Yoga for me was another workout offered by my mega-gym. I even tried to make it competitive by "out-planking" the dudes around me in class! This is where Meredith entered my life. I had zero desire to become a "yogi", but I did want to take the post-op opportunity to rebuild my functional movement. Meredith was able to break down my alignment and reconstruct me bit by bit. What I didn't realize it at the time but slowly came to appreciate was that yoga became less about physical strength and more about internal alignment. Without being "preachy" and after multiple 1:1 sessions, I found that I was not only more flexible, strong and open physically on the mat but that the same was showing up for me in relationship to myself and others. Crazy-guess they were on to something 5,000 years ago. I remain grateful for what Meredith was able to share with me. Now I have a practice that I can take on the road with my work travel that is energizing and sustainable. Thanks Meredith!

I'm in my mid 30s and have struggled with lower back pain for many years. Through my 1:1 sessions with Meredith, she helped build a custom plan that leveraged recovery of my overworked muscles, strengthening underworked muscle groups, and general flexibility that has greatly reduced my daily pain and is keeping me active!
