What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not particularly. Standard pricing works on single replacement items or products sold. We sell a service that comes with a product and it is the service (how and what is involved with getting the job done) that mostly determines the price. A customer sometimes already knows what door or faucet etc... that they want.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet with customer, understand their needs and wants, identify a solution and provide an estimate
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 25 years in the industry. Owner/operator personally and highly experienced in the Electrical, Plumbing and construction trades alleviating the need to hire subs most of the time and always having several solutions at ready for the customer.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Started as an electrician then found more and more phases of home remodeling appealing to me. Enjoy making something old, new and beautiful again although there is satisfaction in creating something out of material.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly residential customers needing bathroom and kitchen remodeling. Although, we have done work for Banks, large department stores, and the NY State Police Academy.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently renovated an entire home where it required removing walls, windows and doors. Did a complete kitchen, flooring throughout and all 3 bathrooms. It is nice to go from plumbing to electrical to carpentry, keeps from getting bored. Total, took 5 weeks.
