FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work with the clients budget and customer service comes first!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
CONCEPT & DESIGN First and foremost, is the concept. I have an avid interest in design which allows me to take references from varying cultures, time periods, design philosophies and blend them or recreate them with accuracy and style. I usually research and come up with a jumping off point and then talk with the client to really hammer down things they love, things they hate and how to collaborate to find a design and concept that they are excited about (while respecting the budget)! At this time the scope of work is also assessed and cost/timeline are discussed. MODELING & RENDERS After the concept has been developed, budget has been set and logistical information has been obtained, I make a digital rendering of the project so that the client can see how the design we've collaborated on will look once executed. During this time, I research cost to ensure what I'm presenting is within budget, so what you see is delivered. During this step, collaboration continues and we make any changes as desired. SOURCING & EXECUTION After we have settled on a design you love and renderings are approved, it's time for me to go to work. During the design process, I keep thorough notes over which elements we use so that they can be easily referenced. I order the elements needed and flesh out the final version of the project for approval and delivery!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
For 10 years my primary focus has been administration, specifically as an assistant to CEOs and other C-level executives. With assistance there are always tasks that are out of the traditional scope of administration; I have scrubbed walls, planned parties for 100+ people, picked up clients from the hospital, staged million dollar homes, completely re-branded marketing, assisted in designing merch for celebrities and became a Dachshund whisperer, all in the name of rising to the occasion for my clients. Being a Jill-of-All-Trades has allowed me the opportunity to learn and perfect a variety of skills that nurture problem solving acuity, out-of-the box ideas and my inherent creative interests. This creativity is mixed with highly organized planning, clear vision and most importantly, a sense of humor to make up my unique style.
