- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we first meet, I will observe your dog and ask you lots of questions. Your answers will determine what the priorities are for us as we work together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in English, which helps me to communicate with my human clients. When I began training professionally, I completed the Pet Training Program for a National Retailer. I have had literally thousands of hours of 'hands on' experience in group classes, private training sessions, behavior modification (fearful, anxious, separation anxiety, aggression, phobias, etc.) and Therapy Dog training. I have been the training instructor for the Paws in Prison program in Lockhart, TX for nearly 10 years. Since that time, I have gone to many seminars and training 'Expo's. I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT_KA) throught the CCPDT and a Professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. I am a certified Pet First Aid instructor and a 'Be A Tree' Instructor.
