FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have kept my prices for the last 10 years at $50.00 an hour for lessons, and $69.00 for recording, production, mastering. ETC...
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The most important thing is to make the client comfortable and feel at ease, starting any type of classes will make you feel nervous, edgy and anxious. the classes should be fun and a relax atmosphere is a key. Managing expectation should be address day one, if a student for an example wants to start a "world tour" in a month and he or she has no training whatsoever... is a disappointment that will likely stop them in their tracks. The other extreme is just as bad if they are starting the classes feeling that they will never be as good as a pro. and one last thing... PACE... both teacher and student must be moving on an identical pace, some students are a bit faster that the majority, and some other are a bit slower. If the teacher fail to pickup on the pace. the student will not continue the course. and most of my students were studying at one point in their life and stopped. I actually specialize in dropouts....
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
