FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fees are posted on my website (PortlandFacePainting DOT com) My most popular package is two hours of balloons and face paint for 20 guests or fewer. It's a very popular choice for birthdays, family reunions, and small company picnics! It is $240. I offer weekday (non-holiday) discounts Monday - Thursday. Discounts vary by location but range from 10-20% off. I am based in Beaverton (97006) so the discount varies by distance to my location.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art for Fine Arts training to be a professional artist. I've spent more than a decade working with children in various ways, including as a daycare teacher, nanny, and tutor. But I've been face painting young guests off and on since college and it's become my focus, and my business, since 2014.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been a working artist since I was 14 when I began airbrushing t-shirts at the local amusement park. I began painting murals at 16 for local businesses. I picked up face painting while in college studying Fine Arts and quickly discovered I have a natural passion and gift for it! I couldn't walk away from face painting and entertaining children and, instead, built a business and a career around creating memories and entertaining children!
