Reading and Writing Teacher - Special Education...

Introduction: I am a Special Education and English Language Arts teacher, so I am able to offer services to people with special needs and those with more general needs. My Bachelor's degree is in English and I worked as a freelance writer for 5+ years, mainly with a company that assisted with resumes, cover letters, college applications, proofreading, web content, essays, and so on. I also have a certificate in editing and have edited two published books. I have a strong background in English, literacy, and writing. I use research-based educational programs to create a student's learning plan, while also integrating the latest educational technology to complement each student's learning program. I create individualized and differentiated programs for students of all ages, learning styles, skill levels, and needs. I am very proud to be able to offer assistance to people with special needs and those that require additional help with schoolwork, as well as professional help with resumes or cover letters. I enjoy meeting each individual and designing a plan based on their needs and goals, and I enjoy watching them learn and grow in the process. I am one of the first tutors (that I know of) that focuses mainly on literacy and Special Education, are both high areas of need. I enjoy using the most up-to-date research-based educational programs to form a student's learning plan but also uses educational technology to differentiate the instruction and create more engaging learning opportunities for students.
