I used Inspection Wizards when I was seriously considering the purchase of a new home. I called several companies and self-employed individuals but for a few reasons didn't feel comfortable (i.e., outrageous prices, horrible reviews, bad vibes, etc.). I had two friends who recently purchased a home so I asked them about their experience with their inspector. One friend had a not so good experience and the other said she loved her inspectors (Mr. Bill Hamilton and his son). With her recommendation, I went with Inspection Wizards. I was surprised at the price but even more surprised with the outstanding service! I can't go any further before letting you know that I have never written a review for anyone or product. I have purchased many good products and always plan to write a review but for the service I received from Inspection Wizards, I put a reminder on my phone to really sit down and write this review. Now, lets carry on...the inspection was thorough and my initial intention to pass on getting an inspection was out right crazy. Turns out the house that I loved so much had really bad roof damage (a big hole and so forth)...the leaks ran through the wall (all which you couldn't see because the house was freshly painted). The attic didn't have enough insulation, some other minor things but the biggest thing is that the HVAC system wasn't working. You would probably think that I passed on that house but NO....I negotiated with the sellers. I listed all the things I needed repaired, requested a 1-year Home Warranty and a few other things. ALL which they agreed to do. My agent was so surprised because FMLA said the house was As Is with no disclosure. If it were not for the detailed report (which the report is very detailed inclusive of pics) I would have been out of luck. In ADDITION, Mr. Bill promised to come back out to re-inspect once the seller corrected the problem. I had my inspection about 3-weeks ago and they came back on today to re-inspect. I know I'm getting carried away with this review but in short: They saved me thousands of dollars!
