Introduction: I take great pride in my work. Every job I do as if it was my home I was working on. I have been doing carpentry and Handyman work for years after working with my father in his business at an early age. There are very few jobs that I can not do and I have great references from previous work.
I always go above and beyond for my customers. A job well done only leads to more quality jobs. I listen to the customer carefully to make sure we are both on the same page throughout any project large or small. There is nothing more rewarding than a large smile on a clients face when all is completed.

I purchased a 100 year old home on the north shore that needed extensive work. I needed someone who could do many different projects, because I didn't have the time to search and find different workers for each project. Stewart Construction was referred to me by a friend in Milwaukee, and we worked side by side to completely update and finish my home. At first, I was worried about the quality of doug's work, so I only gave him some smaller jobs, but once I realized how detail oriented and gifted he was, I kept an ongoing list of projects I wanted, and he was good at making time for each of them. These are just a few of the projects stewart construction did for me: they fully finished my concrete floored basement by adding built-in bunk beds and cabinets, added a full size bedroom, a full bathroom, a laundry room and a 10 person steam room (all in the basement). They also did slate flooring, hardwood floors throughout my home, tile work, removed old slat-mud walls, added support beams and opened up the front of my house; they removed a 100 year old staircase and rebuilt an open custom staircase for me. They remodeled a total of 5 bathrooms in my home, and dry walled and painted 80% of my house. They added extensive stone work to my small fireplace, built a kitchen island, refinished my kitchen cabinets, repaired and extended my deck, added pavers (sidewalk & driveway), painted and caulked the entire exterior of my home, replaced old windows, installed skylights, customized 3 of my bedroom closets, updated lighting (added recessed lighting) and added ceiling fans throughout.
In case it isn't obvious yet, I'm a huge fan of this company. Their prices are crazy resonable (trust me, I compared!). Quality work, reasonable prices & finding workers that actually Show Up isn't as easy as people think. Stewart Construction won my vote.

Doug did two projects for us back to back, and knocked both out of the park! He laid hardwood laminate first for us, and did an amazing job of handling all of the difficult cuts and angles needed for transitions. He also created an amazing built-in mudroom for us that is spectacular.

Excellent experience with Stewart Construction. He did everything from electrical and plumbing work to painting and remodeling my kitchen for me. Great workmanship, attention to detail and competitive pricing. Doug gave me great design ideas, too. Looking forward to hiring Stewart Construction for more work in the future. Highly recommended!

Replaced ceiling tiles in office building - completed job in a timely manner. When he finished, all debris was removed to dumpster and he vacumned any dust/debris on the floor.
We will use him again.

Doug exceeded our expectations with our bathroom remodel! His price was extremely fair and reasonable. We did not know Doug before this project, and he worked in our home each day while we were away at work. He led us through the remodel and was quick to take care of any challenges that arose. He removed the existing floor and wallpaper, patched the walls, painted the walls, trim, and door, installed marble flooring, plumbing, vanity, and new hardware. He also painted the entryway and upstairs of our home. We are so happy with our finished bathroom and highly recommend Stewart Construction!
