Introduction: Focusing and specializing in one area of excellence.And that one area is portrait photography. Families, Kids, Newborns, and Engagements are my thing- therefore that is what I focus and specialize in. I let my website show that I eat, drink, breathe and sleep portrait photography; I want to become ‘The’ portrait photographer. Rather than showing images of weddings and corporate profiles, I want to make my client confident in me and what I can offer long before they have even met me and the best way to do that is my home (on the web) should tell that potential client that I am an expert in my field. I just loving working with people! I can remember how much fun I had working with my first clients capturing moments and emotions, seeing the look on their faces when they saw their own portrait and actually liked what they saw. These positive experiences were so much more satisfying to me than photographing nature like I used to. I knew that my future in photography would mostly involve people. To a large extent, this is still one of the things that I most love about photography… working with people and capturing moments and emotions so that they will not be forgotten.

Jenna took our pictures on a cool fall day and even though the weather was cold and windy and my 2 year old didn't want to smile, Jenna was able to capture our family perfectly!! The pictures turned out awesome. The only thing that could have been better was the weather :)

Jenna took an extra engagement session for us in August. After several months of staying patient dealing with OUR busy schedule, she was extremely willing and very accommodating. I was relatively dissatisfied with the first session of engagement photos we had taken because it rained on the only day we could do it before we needed to get out Save the Dates out! Jenna totally understood and was willing to work without budget and our time frame to include more engagement photos, and with our puppy! She was very patient with our 7 month old "terror" who we treat like a child, and even brought her kind husband along to help out with the dog when we shot several couple shots. The photos turned out amazing, and in so many of them she caught the sweetest moments between my fiance and I. Whether it be a laugh, a cute glance. Nothing looked staged, and we are more than satisfied with out experience. I would highly suggest her to you!

My son and I recently met with Jenna to do some Senior pictures. For anyone that has teenage boys you can bet a photo shoot is not high priority. So after a few rescheduling due to his busy schedule and many location changes to make him happy :) we finally met! Jenna you did a fabulous job! My son was comfortable and at ease which led to some fabulous shots that we both love! I also believe that your " kick ball " attire that day helped him relax a bit :) Excellent experience and we will be getting together again soon for some family photos!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would typically like to talk with clients first whether over email or telephone to get a feel for what they like. Then we agree on a location and date/time for the photo session. The day before the session I give the client a reminder email.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken many classes for photography and attended countless workshops. I have been doing photography for the past 4 years and it has become than a hobby- it's a passion.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It all started in high school with photography classes and being on the yearbook staff taking pictures. I then took classes while attending college and after graduation I realized my true passion and started seeking out workshops to attend.
