FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have established hourly packages for each type of service I provide. I have a separate ala carte option in addition to the packages. All packages come with a print release for the digital images that are part of the package.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a potential customer contacts me about any kind of photography, I always start with a brief interview either by email or phone just to make sure we are a good fit. Once I establish that I can provide the kind of service they are seeking, I offer my pricing options for the various types of photography services. When the customer hires me, we establish a date and time and I send a short, fun questionnaire that helps me understand the client better. This questionnaire is about their hobbies, how they feel about getting their picture taken, etc. It puts the customer at ease before we have the session. I also explain expectations on my part and answer any questions and concerns the customer has. When we meet, I get the customer acclimated to the session by shooting a few casual shots just to warm them up. After the session is complete, I set a date for the digital images to be uploaded to my online gallery for their viewing and selection. I keep consistent, clear communication with the client from the beginning of the process until the end. If something is not right, I make it right!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took some formal photography classes and field trained with a 20-year photography veteran for 2 years before I ventured on my own.
