- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
On average I charge $100-150 to travel to location and for planning consultations. I charge $25 per hour for admin time (communicating with vendors, procuring supplies, etc) and $250-350 for day of the event coordination. I have an assistant who does labor and installing at $100-200 per day depending on needed skills. He also is a high quality DJ.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of the Art Institute of Seattle. I also am certified in commercial holiday decor. I did large commercial holiday projects for about 7 years and gained most of my experience through that.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always enjoyed planning large social events for family but then I got involved in pageants and put on a pageant and then a large national pageantry trade show and convention at the Seattle center. I later became involved in commercial Christmas decorating which led to setting up for holiday related events. I have put on birthday parties, corporate events, retirement events & weddings.
