Introduction: I'm a full-time content writer, editor, and marketing manager for a commercial website. My job requires me to facilitate tasks and ideas between my bosses and my subordinates; in a way, this is analogous to what I'd be doing as a tutor. I combine a strong command of English (written and spoken) with critical thinking and interpersonal skills. Both of my parents were educators (elementary school principal and teacher across all elementary grade levels), so I have an idea about instruction, clear communication, and making it fun at the same time. I genuinely enjoy helping people. If you have a child in high school, my credentials in that regard are that I graduated second in my class and took virtually every AP class (with a passing AP exam grade). My protocol is to have at least one consultation, whether in person, through Thumbtack, or over the phone, before determining if I'm the appropriate tutor for the client. That's when we can hash out the cost based on the time and schedule considerations needed to meet your particular goals.
