Went to Josephine a few times times and she was never consistent. I eventually wised up and found someone else. Sometimes I would receive a great cut and color - and other times it would be half assed work. Whenever I would tell her what I wanted she would say "You don't want the same cut every time - you have to change things up" and then she would do something different that she was NOT asked to do - Other times I would ask her to do something or tell her I didn't like the way something was done before and she would say "I am the professional, you are not - therefor we will not be doing that - I know a lot more about hair then you do".
I really think her work depends on whether she likes the person she is working on or not. If she doesn't like you - beware - you'll look like an idiot when you leave.

Misty I'm so sorry you felt that way. I take pride in what I do and in pleasing my guests. I wish I was in Michigan to talk to you and see where things went wrong. Please believe me if i made you feel like I didn't value your opinion or that I didn't like you please forgive me it was never my intention. I do encourage change in my clients but I would never dictate it unless you guys are in agreement please forgive me I obviously left a bad impression on you and I'll take this as a learning experience. Nobody on my chair should feel the way you described your experience with me. I will work on the areas you mention and my consistency and again I am so sorry you feel that way about me. I wish I could remember our consultation I swear that's totally out of character. Thanks for the feedback.

Josephine is not only a fantastic hair and make-up artist, but she is truly a phenomenal human being. My daughter and I have both enjoyed our relationship with Josephine for the last several years. I met her originally when I called Ashka and asked for someone who was really good with short, funky hair cuts. Ashka recommended Josephine. It was the best recommendation! Josephine was truly interested in learning about me as a person, my style, and what I was looking for and then suggested a cut & color that truly transformed my look. I was hooked after the first appointment. I get compliments on my hair all the time, and it's because of her! My daughter does as well. Josephine has been our go-to resource for special occasion make-up as well. Thanks to her, we always feel that we look our best! Over the last few years, we got to know her personally as well. Josephine is creative and talented. She is passionate about her work and her clients' satisfaction. It's not just a job for Josephine. Josephine is truly an artist. I have asked her for a million different looks and she always delivers! If you have an opportunity to work with her, grab it!!! I'm so sad she moved to Tampa! But you ladies have gained an amazing stylist.

Josephine is awesome! After searching for a long time I found Josephine, she far surpasses any hair stylist in the state of Michigan. She uses only high quality products and cutting edge methods leaving your hair healthy and looking its best. She is attentive, friendly and professional! I highly recommend Josephine, you will be very happy with the results, whether it is a blow dry, haircut or color!
