FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
All ages! The youngest student I have started at 6 and the oldest student I have is in his 60's!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
In regards to lessons: Overall, I have noticed that 30 monte lessons aren't as conducive to work unless the student is very young. As a student progresses, more focused time spent can lead to more artistic projection and freedom. However, it is important to note that everyone functions a different way and responds differently to stimuli; it's my job as a teacher to be patient and understand how you work. Learning any instrument takes a lot of time and patience; eventually at some point you are going to get frustrated and find yourself doing wacky things that you didn't know you could do. This is perfectly normal. Everyone should go at their own pace. One student may need an hour and a half, but another one's attention may waver at the 45 minute mark. In regards to weddings: Usually, Harpists in any specific area usually have a standard set price. It's quite a tight knit community and because harpists are few and far between, we don't want to undermine each other!
