FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Private Swim Lessons (one student)- $35/lesson/student Semi-Private Lessons (siblings)- 30/lesson/student *I have group rates for those who want their children to swim with a group of friends and pricing for that will be discussed upon request*
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before I discuss details on pricing and availability, I like to get to know my future students through their parents. I always ask a few questions regarding each child's experience in the water: I find out age, if they have had prior lessons (if so can they back float, put their whole head under; if there is no prior lesson experience, do they blow bubbles, eyes wet, etc) and most importantly how comfortable each child is in the water on a scale of 1-10. I ask these questions first in order to best decide which level my students would thrive in. After the preliminary questions, I explain to the parents which level their child would most benefit from and explain the skills and goals of said level. From there we will discuss pricing and other details in order to schedule a first lesson.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 7 years of experience teaching children to swim. I have worked at the YMCA, Gold Medal Swim School, Aquasafe and finally decided to move onto teaching my own lessons. I got my start at Kiwanis Recreational Center where I got my lifeguard certification, CPR and First Aid certification and my WSI (water safety instructor) I have kept up all certifications throughout the years including 2017.
