FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base it all on how much time I am contracted for, how far I have to travel, and resources I will be using. I also take into account the amount of time I will need to edit and deliver the pictures taken, which is typically the longest process of it all. There is a lot of time, and money spent behind closed doors in this field. And I try to do it all, while still staying affordable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all depends on the customer. I am not an overbearing, pushy kind of person. But I do like to be informed about what is important to them. For example, one bride didn't care about ring shots, or bouquet shots...she just wanted a photojournalism approach to her wedding day. Where as another bride wanted everything photographed, even the wedding invitations...with props. I am more than happy to accommodate my clients, but I feel there has to be some communication so that everyone is happy in the end. I'm comfortable with all the dealings happening over email, text, phone, whatever the client needs. But I am also very happy to meet in person. I want to make my clients experience a happy and smooth one, and that means different things for different people
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I did a photography course about 15 years ago, that's where I got my certification. Now days I do workshops and webinars on a weekly basis. As a photographer you never ever stop learning, every photo-session is a new experience, unique. I believe that once you have no desire to learn, you have lost your passion for something. And I am very passionate about photography, and hope I always will be.
