- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet on the client's site. We generally walk the property and discuss the client's vision for the lighting project. I look for power sources, potential complications, etc. Often, we look at samples of the potential lights to be used. I then send the customer a detailed estimate, usually through e-mail, and always within 24-48hrs, explaining all costs and warranties. If the estimate is accepted, we schedule a time that works for everyone involved and then we start installing lights.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the landscaping industry for about twenty years. Starting from the bottom, pushing wheelbarrows, I eventually became Operations Manager for an Indianapolis area landscaping company, Arkenau Landscaping. For the last ten years, I have been selling, installing and maintaining low voltage outdoor lighting.
