FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My business aims to provide a solution for the customer's needs, wants and vision.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am ServSafe certified, which is a nationally recognized food and beverage safety training and certificate program administered by the National Restaurant Association. The program is accredited by ANSI and the Conference for Food Protection. A sanitation certification is required by most restaurants as a basic credential for their management staff. I am also a licensed teacher in both New York and Virginia. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education, Family and Consumer Science from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oneonta. I received my Master's degree in Technical and Career Education from Old Dominion University.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
As an educator, I have worked with students of varying ages, teaching culinary and basic fabric construction. Also, as a partner in a two women catering company I have experience preparing, serving, setting up and breaking down events ranging from 50-150 people. As a new employer on Thumbtack, I hope to work with customers who are interested in personal cooking classes to help improve their health, knowledge and joy of cooking or sewing! I have helped out at DIY events where a set up and break down crew was needed and the food was already made! (everyone needs to watch their budget in some way or another!)
