FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Arts in Photography from Columbia College Chicago. Eight years of experience photographing for clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In high school, I took a photography class as an elective. At the time, I was also active in the theater program, so I offered to take head shots for the musical at the time. I quickly realized I was much better behind the lens than on stage. I started doing head shots, family photos and dance portraits for people in the area. The rest is history! I went to school and studied photography and have expanded into shooting weddings, engagements, newborns, travel photography, etc.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you click with your photographer. I like to tell my clients that weddings are fun, so I'm fun at weddings! Your photographer is a huge part of your day, so make sure they're someone you feel comfortable around, can laugh with and will help to make sure everything runs smoothly. I think this is true across the board whether you're looking for a wedding photography, newborn or anything in between -- you should trust who your working with to take care of you and your loved ones and to capture the images you want.
