About this pro
I have never hired a photographer before and really had no idea what to look for or to expect. Emily was just perfect. Easy to work with from start to finish. She was calm, laid back, friendly, had great ideas for photo ops and took absolutely stunning shots. I couldn't be happier with our wedding photos. I would hire you again in a heartbeat! Thank you.Oct 6, 2016Verified

My husband and I have worked with Emily since she took our maternity photos in April 2015, and she has done every milestone photoshoot for our kiddo over the last year. We love her! She is wonderful to work with, and is absolutely amazing at capturing our baby's true personality. We look forward to having Emily take all of our photos in the future!Jun 3, 2016
I couldn't have asked for a better photographer to take my senior photos. Emily's calm, creative, kind, and innovative personality made me feel relaxed, comfortable, and completely at ease throughout the entirety of the photo shoot. Emily has an eye for seeing things that made perfect pictures. After seeing my photos I was absolutely speechless and knew that I made the best decision by hiring her. I would highly recommend Emily and I guarantee that she will exceed all of your expectations!May 25, 2016
Emily is professional, very nice, enjoyable to talk to and has done multiple sessions for my family including baby announcement, maternity, and newborn photos. I wish I could post photos for you, I believe she has some on her website! Carrie BMay 23, 2016

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Bachelor of Arts in Photography from Columbia College Chicago. Eight years of experience photographing for clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?In high school, I took a photography class as an elective. At the time, I was also active in the theater program, so I offered to take head shots for the musical at the time. I quickly realized I was much better behind the lens than on stage. I started doing head shots, family photos and dance portraits for people in the area. The rest is history! I went to school and studied photography and have expanded into shooting weddings, engagements, newborns, travel photography, etc.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Make sure you click with your photographer. I like to tell my clients that weddings are fun, so I'm fun at weddings! Your photographer is a huge part of your day, so make sure they're someone you feel comfortable around, can laugh with and will help to make sure everything runs smoothly. I think this is true across the board whether you're looking for a wedding photography, newborn or anything in between -- you should trust who your working with to take care of you and your loved ones and to capture the images you want.
