FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for a home inspection will very because of, size of the home, age, type and any additional requests like mold, lead, pool, ect. I will say our prices start from $200 to $500, but there are a lot of things that go into figuring the price out. A client told us that the price he paid, he thought was high. After walking with us during the inspection, he realized that he was paying a certified, experienced inspector. He thoughts about the price changed. You can pick the lowest priced inspector, but like they say you get what you pay for. Paying a little more, is not a bad thing to know your getting a excellent service. See our Reviews.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Motor City will obtain the information needed on the house which includes age, location, type and occupancy. We will schedule the inspection and emailing the pre-inspection agreement. The Inspector will arrive to the residence 30-45 min prior to schedule inspection time. Typical inspection should take 2-3 hours depending on age and type of home. The Inspector will conduct a safety and function test of all components in the areas of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, foundation and appliances. After the inspection is completed, the Inspector will go over an electronic inspection report that day to discuss any major findings. The final inspection report will be emailed to the client with-in 24 hours. Motor City is big on customer service, so we stay in contact with our clients even after the inspection is completed.
