Introduction: Hello and welcome to my profile. My name is Melina and I have been working with animals since 2016. I started out as a dog walker/pet sitter, became a trainer in 2019 and received my grooming certificate in 2023. I offer an assortment of options for all coat types and breeds: deshedding treatments, full service grooms, neet and tidy grooms as well as baths. I currently work at The Dog Park in Old Town, Alexandria. You are more than welcome to set up up an online appointment directly. This was the first time getting my dog trimmed but Melina asked lots of good questions to assure she groomed our terrier mix to our liking. She finished the job 15-30 minutes faster than anticipated and we picked up a nice smelling and looking pet wearing a natty Pride bandanna.

I was only allowed to select three highlights for Melina, but everything about her pet sitting is fantastic, and she's been a lifesaver. She is kind as can be, reliable, responsive, professional. Most importantly, we are so happy and comfortable leaving our home and our beloved kitty in her good hands. We have used her services several times already and will use her many more in the future. We enthusiastically recommend Melina.

I can’t speak highly enough about this pet sitter. She was always very responsive and available and bent-over-backwards to accommodate me (even learning to give insulin shots for the first time). My cat has been sick for the last year, and this was the only pet sitter I would consider leaving him with. My cat was really not doing well right before a scheduled vacation this summer, and I considered cancelling but knew I could trust them to make him as comfortable as possible and give me regular updates. True to form, they went above and beyond to make sure he was eating, even when he climbed to the top of my cabinets and wouldn’t come down. As his situation worsened, she regularly checked in with me by text to see how he was doing, just because she cared. Sadly, my kitty passed recently, but I was comforted knowing that this pet sitter helped make his last few weeks as stress free, safe, and dignified as possible.

I always start with online communication and then a phone call. It’s important to know what services you are looking for, find out a little more about your pup and make sure your pup has a current Rabies vaccination.
