I met with Alex on a regular basis for over a year so he could help me write academic English in the context of my Masters, as well as improve my spoken English - which is almost fluent without being native. He also proof read my papers and thesis. I thought his skills in teaching to be outstanding. Very encouraging and patient, he took these lessons very seriously, as classes could be postponed but never cancelled, which ensured a much needed regularity. His way of teaching is pleasant and never monotonous; he manages to convey his enthusiasm very well; I felt encouraged to sustain my efforts, week by week, especially as my progress was visible.
I would strongly recommend Alex for anyone willing to learn or improve their language skills - either in French of in English, as his French was as good as mine (a native speaker).
