Dawn was an amazing person to work with. We had her as our wedding director and she got everything in line and moving along perfectly. She was very sweet and fit right in with my family. If you’re looking for a good wedding director i highly recommend her! My special day went just as planned because we had her there! Great price range too!

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I actually started this in 2005 when my only child got engaged. She and I planned Every Little Detail and I was her planner and Day of Coordinator! Boy was that a mistake! The day of her 5 PM wedding I also had a bridal brunch for the girls at my home. One of my friends was going to the venue to help me set up early that morning so we could get back for the 11am brunch(which my family was there helping with). When we arrived at the venue they were cleaning up from the night before 🤔! OK, no problem, we had the linens delivered so we could set up the tables in the 2 hours we had before we had to be back home. We opened the first tablecloth, put it on the table and it was the WRONG size! I called the rental company and they said, "No problem, we will deliver the right ones in 2 HOURS!" Panic set in! I didn't have 2 additional hours! I ended up as a puddle on the floor sobbing hysterically and hyperventilating! This is my only child's wedding day! My florist, with whom I am still very close friends with today, just happened to come by just to see how things were going. She took over and I had to trust her to set it up the way my daughter and I had envisioned and planned for a full year! Letting someone else do that was very hard for me because I am a perfectionist, I'm very picky and this was my ONLY child and only chance to do this! It was exactly what we wanted when I finally saw it(when I arrived after the wedding)! My daughter literally shoved half a Xanax down my throat when I got home, because I was still sobbing! So, if you are wondering if you need at least a Day of Coordinator and if it's worth the money, remember my story! If I had it to do all over again, I would absolutely have hired someone for that day! Family and friends are great if you want them to help you plan, but if they are guests at your wedding, they should be treated as such and enjoy your day with you and not working. Setting up and coordinating a wedding is hard physical work and your guests don't want to work that hard and then have to clean it all up afterwards. Enjoy your day and let professionals do all the hard work. Believe me, you will be glad you did!
