Introduction: I have been teaching all ages for over 40 years, from elementary school-age through college grads and professionals. I hold a Doctorate in teaching and masters from Juilliard in piano. I love teaching those who love the piano, from beginners to seasoned pros. I love helping my students be able to play and have great time doing so.

Dr Moss is not only a consummate concert pianist, he is great teacher as well!! The two don't always go together! He is very patient and adapts his teaching perfectly to suit the needs and wants of his students. He notices immediately where they need to focus and leads them seamlessly to improving not only their technique, but just as importantly their " musicality". He allows students to improve at their own pace and is kind, gentle and very encouraging. As his student I always felt comfortable and cared for, and his concentration and attention are unwavering throughout each lesson. He knows how to push me to be better, but also allows me to make understandable mistakes and gently talks me through them. Being a great pianist himself, he can still remember HIS struggles when he was first learning. He is by far the best piano teacher I have ever had. He takes joy in the progress of each student, and just as important--- in the music itself! I cannot recommend him highly enough!!

In every aspect, he has been a great piano teacher for me. Dr. Moss has a wealth of knowledge and talent as a piano player, and through my personal experiences with him as my teacher, he has been able to very effectively communicate what he is teaching in a way that makes sense. Also, I find that he has a lot of patience; if I am having a difficult time with a piece of music, he continues to work with me and has me try different techniques until I fixed the issue. My experience working with Dr. Moss has been nothing but outstanding.

Yes, elementary students up to age 9 usually sign up for 30 minutes ($25 each), 10-15 - 45 minutes ($35) and upper intermediate through advanced 1 hour ($40).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ed. Doctorate in Music Education, a Masters from Juilliard and a College and High School Degree from in Piano Performance from UNCSA.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have taught privately, grad school, college and advanced students for 45 years.
