FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love getting to know my students and their musical background. Prior to meeting I like to discuss their goals so we can make the most out of their first lesson. I prioritize making my students feel comfortable and utilizing all of the time we have together to focus on how we can reach those goals!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated as a music major from Jacqueline M. Walsh School of the Visual and Performing Arts. I am trained in classical voice, musical theatre, guitar, piano, music theory, music history, and music composition. I currently study speech & hearing science at Rhode Island College where I am expanding my knowledge about the vocal chords and how to diagnose and remediate voice disorders. I use this knowledge when teaching lessons to educate my students on how to safely use their voice so that it will last throughout their lives.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began taking voice lessons when I was 4 years old and I never turned back. From there, I went on to pursue years of musical theatre and classical voice performance. After years of music training, I was offered my first job as a voice and guitar teacher for students at a local high school. I instantly fell in love with it! I continue to teach voice while specializing in songwriting. I am passionate about working with aspiring songwriters who are looking for some guidance in how to get started.
